Job Title: Social Media Manager
Location: Remote, work from home in the US or UK only
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours)

What’s the Job?

We are looking for an additional Social Media Manager to help support social media and comms for Adopt Me and the Uplift Games studio brands. Adopt Me already has several large channels through which we engage with our community of over 60 Million players. As Social Media Manager, you will work with our existing team to help fill our channels with joyful posts and ensure that following our social media is as fun as playing our games.

It is essential that you value diversity and want to work alongside talented people from marginalized groups. We are explicitly a trans, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC / BAME, and disability-positive team, and you will be an active supporter of all team members.

This is a remote position open to candidates who are based in the US or UK and can demonstrate eligibility to work in those countries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create new, fun, engaging content for our various social media channels
  • Collaborate on the Adopt Me! social media and marketing strategies, ensuring they are suitable for our young audience
  • Maintain a consistent voice and tone based on our existing social media presence with lots of room to experiment and learn
  • Identify new channels and tools that will support the social media plans and maximise our online presence
  • Where needed, support the rest of your coworkers on the Marketing and Communications team in other areas. We support each other.

Your Background

These are the things candidates really should have but can make up for in other areas. If you’re missing one or two, consider applying anyway, especially if you belong to a marginalized group.

  • 2+ years experience managing / creating content for brand social media channels
  • An interest in data software (eg. Sprout Social), native analytic reports and a desire to dissect this information into practical information for the rest of the team
  • Experience using OBS or equivalent software and basic video editing knowledge to create your own content.
  • Excellent writing skills. You can change between style and tone depending on the situation.
  • Ability to relate to young gamers and stay relevant in the everchanging online space
  • You value diversity and want to work alongside talented gender-expansive people, women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC / BAME, and neuro-atypical people.

Bonus Points

These are things that can improve your candidacy, but none of these are necessary to apply.

  • Experience with Sprout Social
  • Experience with large-scale live free-to-play / GaaS / service-based games.
  • Experience working on products with young audiences.
  • Experience working with an international distributed / remote team.
  • Experience with the Roblox platform and its various games.

What’s the Compensation?

When possible, we provide transparent estimated salary ranges to set expectations early and to respect your time.

We recognize, however, that salaries vary within our various remote geographical locations. To give an indication of the salary level for this role, we estimate the annual salary to be a range of:

  • $36,000 - $48,000 USD

Our compensation package is intended to be competitive with your local market and is negotiable.

We have a competitive benefits package. Find out more on our Why Work Here page.
