Location: Remote, work from home in the US or UK only
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours)

What’s the Job?

Uplift Games is the studio behind Adopt Me, the #1 game on the Roblox platform (25+ billion visits, 1.92 million record CCU) all about adopting cute pets.

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to help support our social media and comms  strategy for Adopt Me and the Uplift Games channels. Adopt Me already has several large channels through which we engage with our community of 10s of millions of players around the world. You will work with our existing team to help fill our channels with joyful posts and ensure that following our social media is as fun as playing our games.

This is a remote position open to candidates who are based in the US or UK and can demonstrate eligibility to work in those countries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create new, fun, engaging content for our various social media channels
  • Collaborate on the Adopt Me! social media and marketing strategies, ensuring they are suitable for our young audience
  • Maintain a consistent voice and tone based on our existing social media presence with lots of room to experiment and learn
  • Identify new channels and tools that will support the social media plans and maximize our online presence
  • Where needed, support the rest of your co-workers in the Marketing and Communications team in other areas. We support each other.

Your Background

These are the things candidates really should have but can make up for in other areas. If you’re missing one or two, consider applying anyway, especially if you belong to a marginalized group.

  • At least 5 years experience in managing/creating social media channel content, with a demonstrable focus on managing video games/children’s media entertainment social channels
  • Experience in collaborating on the creation and delivery of social media engagement strategies for our social media channels
  • Prior experience in gathering data, native analytic reports and an ability to analyse and dissect this information into practical digests for the rest of the team
  • Experience using OBS or equivalent software and basic video editing knowledge to create your own content.
  • Excellent writing skills. You can change between style and tone depending on the situation and audience
  • Ability to relate to both young gamers and parents, stay relevant in the ever-changing online space, and understand their differing needs
  • Experience in launching new products to market, and working with external partners
  • You value diversity and want to work alongside talented gender-expansive people, women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC / BAME, and neurodivergent / neuro-atypical people.

These are things that can improve your candidacy, but none of these are necessary to apply.

  • Experience with Sprout Social
  • Experience in growing channels on LinkedIn and in business-to-business communication
  • Experience with large-scale live free-to-play / GaaS / service-based games.
  • Experience working on products with young audiences.
  • Experience working with an international distributed / remote team.
  • Experience with the Roblox platform and its various games.

What’s the Compensation?

When possible, we provide transparent estimated salary ranges to set expectations early and to respect your time.

We recognize, however, that salaries vary within our various remote geographical locations. To give an indication of the salary level for this role, we estimate the annual salary will be as follows for these example locations:

  • Bay Area, CA: $70,000 - $80,000 USD
  • Dallas, TX: $50,000 - $60,000 USD
  • Seattle, WA: $60,000 - $70,000 USD
  • London, UK: £37,000 - £47,000 GBP

Our compensation package is intended to be competitive with your local market and is negotiable.
