Job Title: Player Support Representative
Location: Remote, work from home in the US or UK only
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours)

What’s the Job?

Being a Player Support Representative for Adopt Me allows you to get paid to have a huge positive impact on young players every week - our team resolves genuine issues and makes people smile. As part of our Support team, you will enjoy a warm company culture with flexible hours that fit around your life. You will have agency to improve our game and to make things better for the whole team and for our community.

It is essential that you value diversity and want to work alongside talented people from marginalized groups. We are explicitly a trans, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC / BAME, and disability-positive team, and you will be an active supporter of all team members.

This is a remote position open to candidates who are based in the US or UK and can demonstrate eligibility to work in those countries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work as part of a flexible player support team helping to provide round-the-clock support for Adopt Me players.
  • Respond to incoming text-based tickets from players helping them resolve issues in a fast and friendly manner.
  • Use in-game and external tools to help detect the cause of sometimes complicated player problems.
  • Give feedback on ways to improve the Player Support pipeline to the Head of Player Support

Your Background

These are the things candidates really should have but can make up for in other areas. If you’re missing one or two, consider applying anyway, especially if you belong to a marginalized group.

  • 1+ years work experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Enough technical knowledge to be able to reproduce and file bugs in-game.
  • Professionalism and empathy, especially when dealing with customers who may be young, less technologically capable, neurodiverse, or not fluent in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours a week).
  • Able to work shift patterns as coordinated with the Head of Player Support.
  • Strong grasp of the English language (we work in English).
  • You value diversity and want to work alongside talented people from marginalised groups. We are explicitly a trans, LGBTQ+, BIPOC / BAME and disability positive team.

Bonus Points

These are things that can improve your candidacy, but none of these are necessary to apply.

  • Experience playing Adopt Me!, familiarity with the systems and community.
  • Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing platforms.
  • Experience working with young people and parents.

What’s the Compensation?

When possible, we provide transparent estimated salary ranges to set expectations early and to respect your time.
